Last month I volunteered to serve on the Board of Directors for the Villa de Valle Homeowners Association. Last night I was elected President for a one year term. The position is powerless. Titular Head for the purpose of signing association documents, preparing Meeting Agendas, Point Man for implementing association policies.
What have I gotten myself into?

First official action as President of the H.O.A.
ReplyDeletea Letter of Intent to forego renewal of the Fire Insurance Policy. I'm not certain that the H.O.A. acted rationally in dropping the coverage but I am just 20% of the Board of Directors.
Second official action: consult with an attorney re: the 'legality' of restrictions added to the DCCRs over the 30 years the HOA has been revising the original document and record and file the First Amendment to the Articles of Incorporation.
